Eastmans’ Publishing Inc. Press Release
September 20, 2016, Powell, Wyoming:
Dear Eastmans’ subscribers, advertisers, industry colleagues, readers and friends:
As some of you may have already heard, Eastmans’ Publishing, Inc. has had a formal complaint filed against the corporation in California by one of our previous advertising clients. This formal complaint has no merit nor is it based from any type of fact or law. This complaint was built with the express intent to publicly humiliate and smear Eastmans’ good name. This action has been built and used as a diversion tactic to a complaint Eastmans’ filed on August 11th, 2016 over a month ago in Park County, Wyoming (Case#: 28501) against said advertiser for breach of contract due to non-payment among other complaints.
In nearly 30-years in the publishing business and over six decades in the hunting industry dealing with hundreds of advertising clients on a monthly basis during that time, Eastmans’ has never been involved or even come close to being involved in any sort of litigation by any advertiser previous or current.
In the more than 29-years of its existence, Eastmans’ has not changed nor altered the way in which we report and/or distribute our circulation numbers. The publishing industry dictates that all publication’s circulation numbers remain completely open and transparent to the general public. Like all legitimate publications in the United States of America, Eastmans’ publishes an official federal form (USPS Form 3526) in each publication once per year for all to see. These numbers are the publishing industry standard; required, monitored and audited by the United States Postal Service each and every year. This process has not changed since our inception in 1987 and has been in place as a standard for the industry for over 100 years (US Mail Classification Act of 1879).
Eastmans’ has and will continue to operate under the highest standards in the industry with our advertising and subscriber clients alike. This disagreement is nothing more than a business dispute between two companies and we are very confident this situation will find resolution with the facts in good time. We thank you for your interest in this matter and we hope this helps to clear up some of the misinformation and rhetoric circulating around the internet. Thank you for your time and consideration. Good hunting!
Sincerely,
Eastman’s Publishing Incorporated
